  In its popular sense, composition is just the way different elements of a photograph are combined. But more specifically, as used by the photographer, composition refers to how the main subject is arranged in relation to other elements visible in the frame. Good composition will be pleasing to the eye, and it will enhance the subject. Let's look at some principles that you can apply to instantly improve your photography. 1. RULE OF THIRDS The rule of thirds divides an image into three equal parts both vertically and horizontally.  The idea is to position your main subject in the frame along these lines or where the lines intersect.  Study this image and my crude lines to see how the rule of thirds is used. Cuauhtinchan - Aztec Warrior Sacred Site

Perched atop a sheer ridge, 1,800 feet above the town of Malinalco sits one of Mexico 's most mystical Aztec sites, where Aztec warriors made blood sacrifices to appease the Gods, the archaeological zone known as Cuauhtinchan. This is the remains of Cuauhcalli, the House of Eagles the cave temple.  Cuauhcalli was carved directly into the hillside and is the only known monolithic temple built in this style by the Aztec. The site sits upon the peak of the Cerro de los Idolos which overlooks the entire town of Malinalco a little over 70 miles south-west of Mexico City . At the entrance of the House of Eagles are the remains of statues that were carved out of the rock-face. The builders carved out a large circular enclosure, with a bench running around the wall which features a carved jaguar where the Aztec knights were initiated into the order through sacred ceremonies. The most powerful earthquake to hit Mexico in 100 years

A few minutes before midnight Lulu woke me up and said there's an earthquake, I felt it as soon as I woke up. We were just walking outside when it stopped, but only for an instant the next quake was harder. We could hear the windows in the house rattling, dogs in the distance could be heard howling, except our dogs, they just wanted to go back to bed. The hole thing only lasted only a few minutes. We turned on the TV but no news yet, the only thing on was pre-recorded news. It took about 30 minutes before the reporting started, that's when we learned it was better than an 8 in magnitude.  The quake originated in the Pacific, our house is about 370 miles NW from the epicenter. Today we learned dozens of people were killed. Homes and buildings were leveled, much devastation. We pray for the people that were affected by this tragedy.
